Ski museum
Opened in 2012, the museum presents the history of skiing in the Riserva Bianca through multimedia content, artefacts and images. Thousands of documents, images and films can be explored via a multimedia visitor experience made accessible through interactive information kiosks. The video footage features historical material courtesy of the Istituto Luce, period photographs drawn largely from private collections, and original equipment from the early 20th century, including numerous pairs of skis – for both men and children – sledge of various shapes and sizes, and other equipment designed for use on snow for both recreational and work purposes.
The museum pays tribute to a number of figures who played a key role in the history of winter sports in Limone Pimonte and displays artefacts that trace the evolution of the sport.
